Happy New Comic Book Day! We're in the middle of a HUGE week. We're a few days removed from the awesome weekend that was C2E2 2013 and then there's new comic book day of course. And I suppose I should mention a little movie coming out this weekend called Iron Man 3. You may or may not have heard about it. As always, here are a few books you should check out while you're at the shop: Image Comics' The Activity #12, BOOM! Studios' Suicide Risk #1 and Archaia Entertainment's Cyborg 009 Chapter 000 One-Shot.
Now let's talk about some cool art. Here's the cover to Mister X: Eviction #1 by Dean Motter and Hamid Bahrami from Dark Horse Comics.
I like how the title is integrated into the architecture. It's something I haven't seen in a while. It's always nice when artists incorporate the title into the image instead of the two being separate. It does make the buildings look a bit goofy, but I'm sure there's some fancy art term for the style. Then again, it would make for some interesting apartments and an intense real estate market.
